Is it possible to personally bring in foreign currency in cash?
Yes it is. In case a foreign investor personally brings in foreign currency in cash, the person bringing in cash must be the actual investor, and at the airport, he or she must notify the custom office of the currency and receive certificate of foreign currency registration. And he or she is able to exchange it into KRW at KEB within the amount as specified in the certificate of foreign currency registration.
