KEB wins the KS Award (from Minister of Knowledge Economy) at '2011 World Standard Day' ceremony
The KS Award gives recognition to companies and institutions that contribute to standardizing and promoting KS, (the Korean Industrial Standard) among the11,000 KS-certified companies. The Bank was honored in recognition of its contribution to KS certification by being the first in Korea to pass the regular KS exam, maintaining its KS certification, and helping to expand standardization.

The Bank's "My (Dream-Widening) Partner" ad won the Best Advertising Award in the finance category of the 47th Chosun Ilbo Advertising Awards
KEB said the award-winning ad captures the spirit of the "My Partner" series, in which the Bank consistently represented "its passion to support customers' success" and sought to combine the Bank's global expertise and customer value in an intimate manner. KEB added that the winning ad was designed to convey the 2010 brand slogan, "Smart Bank," reflecting the principle of putting customers first, in a comfortable, friendly, and convincing way.

KEB won the JoongAng Daily Gold Award at the 46th JoongAng Advertising Awards
On October 12, KEB's "My (Smart) Partner" ad won the Gold Award at the 46th JoongAng Advertising Awards bestowed by the JoongAng Ilbo, a leading domestic daily newspaper.
The award-winning works are selected by a team of evaluators that includes experts in advertising, from among those that ran in domestic print publications in the past year. The evaluators said that through the ad, KEB expressed its brand vision of becoming a "smart partner" that helps its customers achieve their dreams, by employing Sung-ha Jung, a brilliant teenage guitarist who achieved world fame after posting his music video on YouTube. The award-winning work clearly and sensitively demonstrated this vision through its effective use of ad space and sophisticated visual imagery.
